NEW IN WRAP GARANDS TO BE AUCTIONED. The week of 15 January, we will list for auction one pair of NIW M1 Garands and also one single NIW M1 Garand. To see current auctions, please see http://auction.odcmp.com

M1903 AND M1903A3 RIFLES NOW AVAILABLE - QUANTITIES LIMITED. The CMP now has available for purchase approximately 2,000 M1903 rifles and approximately 1,200 M1903A3 rifles. These rifles are all returns from veterans organizations. All rifles are complete and fully functional. Appearance and overall condition is good to very good, except for the barrels. These rifles have been used for ceremonial purposes for decades and probably have fired thousands of blanks. Bores will be dark with little or no rifling. Wood is sound, but may have some minor cracks, dents, and gouges. We expect that after this current inventory is sold, the CMP will not offer any M1903 or M1903A3 rifles for sale until 2009 at the earliest. For more information please see http://www.odcmp.com/Services/Rifles/m1903.htm.

M1 CARBINES SOON TO BE AVAILABLE FROM THE CMP . The Army has transferred to the CMP a significant quantity of M1 Carbines. We are currently processing these carbines through our Inspection & Repair operations and expect to have some ready for sale by 1 March, 2007, but it may be sooner. More information will be posted on http://www.odcmp.com/rifles/carbine.htm as it becomes available. At this time no decisions have been made as to grading, pricing, or limits. We are not accepting orders or establishing waiting lists at this time.

KIMBER GOVERNMENT MODEL 82 "USED RIFLES" AVAILABLE. This year the Army transferred to the CMP a few hundred used Kimber Model 82 rifles. These rifles were turned in by JROTC units and are an excellent source for parts. These are the same match rifles that we have been selling new-in-the-box except that these are used and are sold without sights. The receiver is grooved for scope rings (3/8") which will make mounting a scope very easy. Each rifle is otherwise complete and functional with the front sight base but may be missing the intermediate bases, front sling swivel and/or the butt plate spacers. Overall grade is good to very good, with all having some metal finish wear and stocks that may have scratches, dings, chips, gouges and some with wood having very minor repairs. Sold as-is no exchanges or refunds. $150 each plus $22.95 S&H. while quantities last. http://www.odcmp.com/Services/Rifles/caliber22.htm

CALIBER .22LR RIFLES NOW AVAILABLE. Several different models of used .22LR cal rifles are now available for purchase. All of these rifles were turned in by JROTC units during 2006 and inspected / repaired by CMP armorers. Quantities are limited and we expect very few additional JROTC returns in future years. For additional information, please see http://www.odcmp.com/Services/Rifles/caliber22.htm.M1

GARAND DRILL RIFLES AVAILABLE - LIMITED QUANTITY - $295.00. A limited quantity of M1 Garand rifles demiled for drill and ceremonies is available for purchase. Barrels are plugged and welded so that a cartridge cannot be inserted into the chamber. Bolt faces are welded. Some internal parts may be missing, but bolt does open and close for "manual of arms". For additional information, please see http://www.odcmp.com/Services/Rifles/m1garand.htm.

Thank you for your support of the CMP.

The CMP staff wishes all a "Happy New Year".
